David is Haitian-American cab driver and home health aide with two bosses: his four and five year old daughters. He’s also one of the most effective organizers in New York, uniting 4000 drivers to start the country’s largest worker owned co-op, and organizing with DSA’s Public Power campaign after polluters gave both his daughters Asthma. For David, Flatbush is Family, so he’s running against Kevin Parker, the Joe Manchin of New York to fight for the future all our families deserve.

Raised in a multi-generational household as the proud son of Trinidadian immigrants, Keron learned the importance of service and community from his parents and grandparents. Carrying on the legacy of his grandfather, a steward of gardens on our block, he worked to restore and restart the community garden system of East New York. The gardens represent something radical — they are spaces that bring people together to grow not only food but community.

Vanessa is an activist, co-founder of the Lower Hudson Valley DSA, and first-generation Colombian-American running for New York Assembly District 95. She fought to stop the installation of Algonquin Incremental Market gas pipeline (near the Indian Point nuclear power plant) as well as the Danskammer fracked gas power plant. As the youngest person ever elected to the Peekskill Common Council, she created the conservation advisory council. Vanessa will stand up to the fossil fuel industry while demanding green jobs for all.

Sarahana is a first-generation Nepali-American climate organizer and lifelong advocate for the working class. Endorsed by the Mid-Hudson Valley DSA, she is running to represent Ulster and Dutchess Counties in Assembly District 103. Sarahana organized against Danskammer fracked gas plant and triumphed.
